Fairy Tales

I found it quite ironic that we spoke about fairy tales this week. Literally before class yesterday, my friend, Kim, and I were talking about how her class was discussing how Disney has changed fairy tales. Look at Tangled for example, it’s so different from the original fairy tale. I love the changes Disney made though. Rapunzel isn’t so much as “damsel in distress.” I know Disney made majority of the changes to make the movie marketable to boys. That’s is why they made Flynn Rider such a major character. I know my favorite Disney movie The Little Mermaid is totally different from the original where she turns into sea form in the end. Personally, I like Disney’s version much better!
